Course Overview

The OPITO Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) Controlling Emergencies Competence Assessment tests competency of an OIM against OPITO standards. Delegates will take part in a minimum of 3 role play scenarios in a purpose-built simulator which replicates the main features of a delegate's own installation.

Course Structure

By the end of this OPITO Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) Controlling Emergencies Competence Assessment delegates will be able to Meet OPITO standards for OIM controlling emergencies Successfully pass a minimum of three scenarios undertaken during the OPITO assessment.

Prerequisites

A formal declaration from an employer confirming they have:
- Achieved the performance criteria in Element 1.1 in the workplace
- Satisfied the core essential knowledge and asset type knowledge requirements
- Been deemed ready for formal assessment against Elements 1.2 and 1.6 before attending

Course Content

Delegates completing this training course will be able to;
- Meet OPITO standards for OIM controlling emergencies
- Successfully pass a minimum of three scenarios undertaken during the OPITO assessment

Certification

An OPITO certificate will be issued upon successful course completion.

Revalidation

The course must be revalidated every 3 years.
