This course tests the emergency response skills of CROs.
OPITO Control Room Operator (CRO) Emergency Response Competence Assessment and Coaching tests the emergency response skills of CROs. Restrata instructors will assess a delegate's response in a minimum of two emergency scenarios and produce a written appraisal based on their performance. Assessments take place in a purpose-built replica of a control room on an offshore installation.

Course Overview
Prerequisites
- A completed element 1.1 at the start of the assessment process which is filled in by the delegate attending and endorsed by their line manager
Course Content
Delegates completing this training course will be able to;
- Demonstrate competency against the CRO emergency response standards
- Complete a minimum of two simulator scenarios which cover threat to life, threat to installation and threat to the environment
Target Audience
Personnel who are Control Room Operators and Control Room Supervisors.
Certification
An OPITO certificate will be issued upon successful course completion.
Revalidation
There is no revalidation requirement for this training programme.
