Course Overview

This technical test is aimed at both onshore and offshore fabric maintenance personnel who may be required to complete a "trade test" before their employment is started or approved.

Abrasive Blast Cleaning (Direct Pressure) TICA-P 01 consists of a three hour practical test and a one hour knowledge test. Delegates must pass the knowledge test before progressing to the practical element.

Prerequisites

Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement

Course Content

By the end of this training programme delegates will be able to;
- Correctly select and set-up the blast cleaning equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Undertake equipment checks to ensure the equipment is ready to use
- Undertake associated equipment checks such as the power and the blast media to be employed
- Check the condition and pre-surface cleanliness of the mild steel test plate

Target Audience

Those required to complete a trade test before employment is offered or begins

Certification

An ECITB certificate will be issued upon successful completion

Revalidation

The course must be revalidated every 3 years.
